Birgit's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

Tracy Verdugo’s information on Instegram about the “International Soul Art Day” inspired me to do a Soul Art journey. I was surprised, that I had never heard about it before.

How would you describe your creative process?

Unfortunately, I had missed to print out the written guidelines but being guided by Laura was such a wonderful experience also to know, that so many people around the world gathered online with me for this event. I had my watercolour paper ready, worked with acrylics, inks, watercolors, stamps etc. Looking in to books, photos, journals helped me to start.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

I felt energy and spirit and a kind of magic. I was not able to stop painting for the longest time. Even the next day, I continued to work on my picture until I felt it was done.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

This time, my artwork was just for myself. Images just became alive, without giving it to many thoughts. It was amazing that I mostly used the colours, which are so me and that I feel such a connection to the images that came up.
