Lisa Keffer Ruiz's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

I loved the idea of creating along with artists world wide.

How would you describe your creative process?

Typically an idea or theme is born as I’m waking up, falling asleep or driving. I sketch it as soon as I can and then do quite a bit of research before I begin. Once I get started I try to work until I think I’m finished. I take a break for a day or two and then come back to the piece with fresh eyes to complete the work.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

For the Soul Art piece I had no plans. I followed the suggested process and allowed the work to evolve. I thoroughly enjoyed the freedom in this process and will be doing more of it. Creating this way left me feeling free and whole.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

Knowing that I was creating along with so many artists world wide and being able to check in periodically throughout my process was energizing. It felt magical.
