Angela Lou-Gilchrist's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

This is at least my fifth time participating in International Soul Art Day. It’s something I always look forward to and is a great reason to block off my entire day just to creating art.

How would you describe your creative process?

I make sure my space is organized before I start, light a candle, pull a tarot card the night before, set up a mini creativity altar by my work space, and this year I painted a special little message with green acrylic paint on my canvas which said, “Welcome to Central Park NYC Soul Artists 2018” and then I painted over it 😉

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

That I should never be afraid to just start painting because I always have the option to paint over anything I’d like to change and to not give up if something isn’t exactly going the way I originally planned because it will somehow be okay.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

Never be afraid to share your art publicly because it might inspire others to do the same. The world needs your creative magic.
