Crystal Mays's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

I love this process of connecting deeply with myself and receiving guidance in the form of imagery.

How would you describe your creative process?

It was a multi-faceted experience over a whole week. I followed Laura’s prompts to glean my intention. Then I made a Soul Sketch using the body mapping. I worked with some Liquid Crystal cards and oracle cards for some insight. I kept checking in with myself to see where there was energy for me and what to do next. I went for a walk and picked wild flowers. While istening to the live conversation about our wombs, I began the first painting and prepped the second one. I spent the week living into the question and attending to the art when I felt ripe for it.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

Having my feet firmly planted on the ground and cultivating a deep presence in myself activates my seven-pointed Soul Star and plugs me into Life. The creative cauldron of my womb enjoys play (like a child). The freedom of play allows the creative life force energy to easily circulate in my system. This energy spirals out into the world and cycles back in with abundance and joy.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

Creating something is all about the journey. The richness of each facet of my experience over the week pails in comparison to the final product. I had to let go of it looking a certain way and allow the essence of the message take the lead in what unfolded with the paintings. This allowed me to relax and just enjoy the ride. (I was stuck for some time with this one though)
