Dani's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

I am always intrigued by any process or course which takes me deeper into a place of soul expansion and discovery. I’m a bit of an “awareness junkie” and as my friend Antoinette Bishop is studying soul art teaching I jumped at the opportunity to do this workshop.

How would you describe your creative process?

It was liberating. I love painting and creating loosely and was planning to work in a more “realistic” manner but when I get a paintbrush in my hand something else takes over and I realised I simply must be true to myself. During my second sitting with the piece I found the more structured and controlled side of me emerge. I loved embracing both sides of myself on one canvas.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

That the beauty is in the process and it can’t be rushed. You can have an idea as to what you’d like to create with your work but you can’t allow that to limit the flow of your creativity. Such is life.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

The written reflection before the painting started was really powerful in It’s insights and uncovering if unconscious true. Real soul artistic discovery!
