Emily Moody's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

I participated in the Soul Art Day last year and it inspired me so much that I decided to take the Bodymapping Course. I have since completely fallen in love with Soul Art and had to join this year!

How would you describe your creative process?

I started my creative process with an under layer of paint. I traced my arms 3 times with the idea that wings would come through, but instead a 6-armed Goddess of creation came through. I used collage to fill in my piece keeping some of the paint showing…including where may cat walked across my canvas.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

My intention was to find my next dream place to move to. My insight was that it is not so important where I move but the state and balance of my mind, heart, and Spirit. It was more important that I unlock my Soul’s power and in order to do this I have to let me love completely flow – both in giving and receiving. I have lived a lot, if not most of my life, blocking what my heart truly wants and sharing my heart with the world uninhibited, whole, and authentically. This piece was actually a huge stepping stone for me and a wonderful way to end my Bodymapping course.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

For me, Soul Art has really been an amazing tool for me to reclaim my power. It has been a hugely transformational experience being in the program and seeing the beauty and insights that pour out of me from my creativity. For all of my pieces including this one, I am amazed that I can have ideas of what I want to do or what I think will come through and something completely unexpected reveals itself. Each time I do a piece, layer after layer of my being is unraveled or unveiled and it enables me to step into this world more embodied and empowered in who I really am. It’s awesome!!
