D. Noel Knower's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

The idea just resonated within me and I felt it was something I needed to do for my Self.

How would you describe your creative process?

I approach the creative process as a ritual by first expressing my intent, meditation, and ideas start flowing and I listen to my intuition to carry me along. I gather my tools, ask for direction and guidance and let go. I use this approach in my writing (I am writing a book) and also in my art.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

I feel like I am still having a dialog with my soul art; I have been in a transition period for the past few years after having decided to completely change my life after the death of my Mom. It has been a time of much soul searching, working through grief and loss, and reconnecting with what brings me joy with my spiritual Self. The art shows me that I have developed my strengths and attunement, that I am on a journey of discovery and that I have come to a gateway. I see much in the symbolism of the images I chose that spoke of transformation, new beginnings and doing so in my own unique, road-less taken way From Laura’s question of ‘how do you view your current life’ an image of a bridge came to mind and then stepping stones, butterflies, flowers, etc. I also see how very much the Divine Feminine is directing and guiding my life now. I am filled with hope and understanding, with enthusiasm and inspiration and with much gratitude.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

That the most important thing any of us can do is to truly ‘Know Ourselves’ first and how very important it is for us to be able to have a dialog through art and writing, meditation with our Soul. To be our authentic self, to understand what our gifts and abilities are, our true motivations and then be able to then turn around and be able to share that purpose, love and light with the world is why we are here together. I also want to say that this is an amazing, loving and supportive community- it has truly touched me. Thank you!
