Stede Barber's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

A lifelong urge to express through creativity…it’s a physical urge I feel in my chest and hands and sometimes my whole body. For years, I have done both traditional and expressive art. A few years ago, my friend Rebecca Skeele suggested I look at Laura’s website, and I felt that “click” of another piece of my puzzle coming into place. I have added Soul Art to my daily life, and am unfolding my work in this world, combining it with my Doctoral work with Art as an Experience of Soul. So Much Joy!

How would you describe your creative process?

I have a long practice of journaling, meditation, and movement which I combine to gain access to the deepest and highest essence of what I am desiring when I do Soul Art.

This may sound opposite, but I also allow and trust spontaneity and “go with the flow”, trusting what comes to me. For example, deep diving back into Feng Shui became part of this Soul Art Day, and I am space clearing inside and out, and doing annual Feng Shui.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

I am continuing to receive insight from this experience, as the question was profound and deep. So far, I am aware of being surrounded in grace and Light, I am healing, all is well, and my inner essence is emerging and is far more powerful than I had thought.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

This is so much fun, a fluid, joyful experience of tapping ever more fully into the wise counsel within, trusting ever more deeply what comes forward, and expanding how I listen to the answers to my prayers.
