Morwhenna Woolcock's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

This is the third year I’ve joined and I really value the process that Laura has created. I find her hugely inspiring and have gained helpful insights as a result of spending the time doing these so far. Also using this process with a group of single mothers last year in North Thailand was very moving. I gain a lot personally from Soul Art Day. Thank you.

How would you describe your creative process?

I create projects and each one is a creative adventure. I try to live my life in this way. For example I have just run my first Creative Adventure on Lundy Island with four fabulous women. It was a combination of using Art, Coaching & Nature to help them to explore what is currently holding them back. In two weeks time I’m going on a self created pilgrimage following roughly in the footsteps of St. Morwenna – a 5th century saint. From the Brecon Beacons in Wales to Morwenstow in North Cornwall by Bike, Boat, Foot & Donkey.

I also run online courses – Doodleicious Exploration (using doodling for wellbeing) Connect 2 Nature: Connect 2 Self and one on Goal Setting.

I like to include people whenever I can in my Creative Adventures to share how important creativity is in our lives. Other projects have included the Bags of Love Project, Love What You Wear and Do What You Love and currently 40/40

I use my creative adventures in whatever form they take to connect with others to help them, to explore and to grow personally. So far my projects have been self-funded and the next step is to start applying for funding options now I feel more ready to do this.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

My Intention was: Show me the way to developing a healthy and loving relationship with myself. My Insight was: My inner angel is here to guide me. She shared that I already have what I need where I am to do this. It’s all here. One of my actions is to create a daily practice that nourishes and supports me.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

The joy that is experiences when in flow. As I started this years Soul Art I noticed I was feeling too ‘safe’ and wanted to let go more. So I got out some paints and that’s when my inner angel started to appear. I started with brushes but soon discarded them in favour of using my hands. I became totally lost in the moment and all other thoughts and worries melted away. I felt pure joy and energy when in this creative space. I love how the process helps you to get out of your own way and one day I’d love to be one of the artists in the studio with Laura. 😉 Then taking the insights and making them into tangible action is VERY important and the key to making any kind of lasting change. Thank you Laura for what you do.
