What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
Other people inspire me. Seeing the love, passion and beautiful raw talent that emerges from others, inspires me to want to create as well. So in seeing the Soul Art community weaving together in a world wide initiative, my own soulful spark was lit up and I knew I wanted to be apart of it. Other beautiful souls were the spark for my inspirational flame that got ignited for the Soul Art Journey.
How would you describe your creative process?
My creative process ebbs and flows. I will feel the strongest passion of creative energy surging through me, and when I give it an outlet then my creativity is a force to be reckoned with. Other times, it is null and void. If I force artwork to be created during this time it doesn’t feel good, on any level. So I’ve learned to ride the waves. When the surge is strong, create, create create. Flow with it. Embrace it and unleash it.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
I gained the insight that even when I feel stuck, pushing myself forward is necessary. Fear would rear its head and at times I felt paralyzed in the creative process. Stepping away, taking a refreshing break then pushing myself back into my art worked well for me. Even when I am unsure, doing something is better than doing nothing.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
Creating the time and space for creativity to emerge is valuable. When there is an inner whisper speaking up that wants to create, to make art and be inspired, we have to listen to that voice. We have to give that soulful creative energy a place to be unleashed. Listen to your heart and soul, for they know what you need, what you crave and what you desire.
