Samantha López Muñiz's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

Art has been an essential expression in my life since my early years, when I grew up and reached institutional art education y felt very disappointed because I could felt the lack of creative freedom and spiritual connection in those spaces. Soon I decided not to study art in the academy, but to trust my creativity, develop it and ¡enjoy it by my own! And I am so happy and proud of that. When I found out Laura Hollick’s Soul Art y felt so identified, I totaly looovee the amounts of spirit and freedom, and I am very thankful for the opportunity of participating in the Soul Art Day.

How would you describe your creative process?

¡I am ready to express abundance in my life! For this ritual I choose to trace the upper part of my body, from the chest up. I felt to work with my heart and mind, united, and also my arms which are extensions of my heart to the world. I started painting the face, and it really captured me until it was finished, the arms turned into wings naturally and the heart and mind in shining lights. ¡Beautiful and pleasurable!

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

If a bird stops flying for a while, soon forgets that has wings; but just remembering that they are there is enough to fly again. Remember you are here to fly…

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

When I was a child I very often dreamed I could fly, and I loved that. At some moment in my life I stopped flying in my dreams… I recently moved to a new home to fulfill other dream I had often during my childhood, to live in the mountains, and guess what? In this new home of my dreams I started flying again in my dreams.

Soul Art Day is so magical and peaceful, I love to experience art in this way, ¡thanks Laura for sharing it!
