Camille Shirley's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

As soon as I came across the concept, I knew I wanted to be involved. Although painting is not my most comfortable medium, I have been missing doing so. There has been a craving in my belly that has been encouraging me to paint for myself, so I saw it as a great opportunity to use the momentum and become involved.

How would you describe your creative process?

I tend to shift into different spaces depending on what I am creating for. I am most ‘creatively productive’ if I have a brief or key project I am working on. But I channel different personalities depending on what space I am in. Ruby is sexy and playful in a mature way, while Ella is youthful and playful in a childish way, Gabriella is a mix between critic and creator and gets projects off the group.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

The biggest ‘realisation’ I had is that the location where I have been holding stored up energy has shifted from my stomach (where I believe it previously was) towards my thighs. After some time painting, this cleared somewhat, but I think I am holding on to something there that needs to be cleared for me to progress on the path I have chosen.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

I am grateful for the facilitation and opening up of other artists to share and integrate, love and light – Gabrielle
