Penny Lighthall's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

As a fibre artist, I work primarily with wool, but lately I have been hearing a calling to work in a different medium, to expand outside my comfort box, so here I am.

How would you describe your creative process?

I usually receive inspiration through meditation, or dreamtime. I then get up and get to work on the project. Sometimes it takes an effort or two to get to where I want it to be. I do however, work in energetic spurts of 30-45 minutes and then step back, rest a while and wait for inspiration to strike again.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

The intention that I had formed from doing the exercise was not what came to the surface when I was doing the Soul Art, it was a totally different feeling that got expressed.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

Just go with the flow, be like water and its properties. It will come out…..eventually.
