Tara Austin's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

I kept thinking about how I have so many dreams and so many creative aspirations and how I just need to make them manifest in my reality. Out of that was born the concept for “Grounding the Chaos of My Life”. I knew that I wanted the base, or Gaia, to be my body and I also used my outstretched arm in a fist that was a representation of my heart, which radiated outward as a sun.

How would you describe your creative process?

It was incredibly visceral. I allowed myself to follow the natural progression of the vision I had in my heart that eventually found it’s way into my head and onto the paper. I found myself getting lost in the process.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

I truly believe that as long as I have a clear vision of what I want, I can manifest it. This piece is a representation of that. I had a very distinct vision of what I wanted to create and it came out almost exactly as I saw it.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

This is a new medium for me and it was an important step to reawakening my passion. I am a musician by trade and it’s been a while since I felt this passionate about my art. I think this was a doorway into rekindling that spark in my creative endeavors. Thank you for that!
