Kerry Yaklin's Soul Art

What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

I believe that art is a conduite for healing and connection to our truest essence. The expression of our experiences in a creative fashion enriches the path to compassion for ourselves and others. I am currently in a time of transition, and found the need to connect with my spirit and gain strength from other brave creative warriors to aid in my awakening.

How would you describe your creative process?

I gain inspiration and endurance from nature. The human experience in all of its glory and struggle fascinate me and is the impetus for much of my work. I see my art and creativity playing a part in the larger purpose of our role here… connectivity. I approach my art with an open heart, ready to share from a place of vulnerability, and ready to listen to the wisdom from others with empathy and gratitude.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

Your hands are your vehicle toward freedom. Nature and the spirits are a part of your journey and a source of strength. You are un-furling. You must bravely un-bind yourself from restrictions. Unwrap your confined and frightened creative spirit and allow your life and spirit to bloom.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

In my intention I asked to be guided to heal. I don’t know if I feel “healed”, but I feel like I am stronger on my journey with more clarity and understanding. I think thats all anyone can ask for as they continue to move forward toward their goals. I am grateful for the guidance this process gave me into my issues and my power to accomplish wonderful things.
