Andra bio photoWhat Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

I like setting aside intentional time to for creative projects, and feeling the cohesive power of the Soul Art tribe helps fuel annual participation – thanks!

How would you describe your creative process?

Spotty at best, I seem to go through creative spells where I’ll stick with a themed process/project/practice for a while, then life takes over again and I stop.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

The body parts I mapped were my hands crossed over each other (they’re under all the colour and image), and the insight was that I should really just trust my artistic abilities and share my creations with others.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

This piece is an ode to my younger self, who was creative without apology! I combined this year’s journey with another process called Create Your Life Book. This piece is called Letting Go, and represents the girl who loved colouring Doodle Art, who loved making all kinds of crafts, and who used to enter every grade school poster contest and would win all kinds of prizes. I wanted to go to post-secondary art school, but wasn’t allowed to because it wasn’t “practical”. So as an adult I’ve carried around a “wounded artist” persona, that this year I am letting go of in favour of reclaiming my Radiant Artist skin! Thanks to Laura for being part of this process over the years!! xo
