Sarah Vanderburgh, Joyful Healer as Teacher and Quilter from Canada

Sarah Vanderburgh bio photoWhat Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

I was curious after reading about it on Jamie Ridler’s blog. Once I looked into it more I knew I was ready and willing to play and embrace my inner artist!

How would you describe your creative process?

Intuitive, curious, and playful. Sometimes I think for a long time before starting to create. I usually use fabric because that’s where I feel most comfortable.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

That life is a spiral! I realized that the travelling I am really ready and aching to do is to explore my own inner world. The hands and feet symbolized being connected and grounded. The Reiki energy which flows through me as a Reiki Master has been quiet for awhile. I have been to busy to hear it! Now I realize I need to take time to really connect with myself to feel connected to the world. And that making connections in the world will deepen my own sense of self.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

That I could start where I was at. I required no special supplies or guidance to participate. That I could trust myself to provide the support required to fully explore the journey I encountered. I feel like I weeded the garden of my soul and found my path again.
