Morwhenna Woolcock bio photoWhat Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

I’ve been re-connecting with my creativity and I wanted to explore healing with relation to a particular part of my body. Plus it looked like fun and I was hopeful for an insight!

How would you describe your creative process?

Slow & fast, freedom & control – a mixture of these. Some parts felt much free-er and more fun that others. I did get stuck on some psrt so when that happened – I went and did something else. This only really happened when I was tearing picture from magazines and I could ‘feel’ the difference and when it was time to move on. So I decided not to use much collage at all in this piece. I got a bit carried away with the stamps which I enjoyed. And I hadn’t had these in my materials originally but suddenly knew I needed them when I felt something was missing from the picture.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

Quite a lot actually. This is the first time I have done this – so I just wrote everything down that came into my head. The things that came up were:
I need to be lighter about life with my thoughts but at the same time I need to focus on being grounded and to develop grounding exercises for myself, To look to nature to support me, To wear yellow, Keep creating – daily, Express and enjoy my femininity, use visualizations of gold butterflies surrounding me and to walk barefoot in the grass daily for the next six weeks.

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

That I need to focus on grounding myself and working with the earth and allowing all the feelings that come with that.
