Jan Nosowicz, Artist at heart! from United States

Jan Nosowicz bio photoWhat Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

I just finished the opening of my first art show on May 3rd of 38 sketches of my students that I drew before I retired last year from teaching English. The joy of sharing my art and conversations I had with visitors to my show validated for me that my art is what I am to focus on in my retirement.

How would you describe your creative process?

Even though I prepared for the collage art process as indicated on the worksheets, I felt it was just much more genuine for me to actually draw myself. I focused on my head, hands, & 3 chakras – heart, 3rd eye, and crown.

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

My insight was that it’s paramount for me TO BE TRUE TO MYSELF as an artist. My talent is a gift from the Divine which is to FOR ME to enjoy and to grown in self-love. I realized by doing this art work that as an artist I choose to co-create beauty, love, & LIGHT w/ my Creator, THE SOURCE of perfect LOVE. What others expect of or see in my art is not of my concern. The gold in my work represents God in my life, the left, red hand (my dominant one) is strength and life, the right, peridot, right hand represents my soul in this life time (my birthstone color), the heart chakra is green (my color for growth) is b/c through my art I will continue to grow in self-love, and the shirt is aqua (combo of blue-serenity, and green-growth,) indicates my inner peace also will expand as I continue to co-create. The background color is actually a marvelous magenta, the color of the JOY I feel whenever I am doing/viewing my art!

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

I was blessed specifically w/ artistic talent as a gift of LOVE from my Creator, to bring more joy and self-love into my life and help my soul to grow through every art experience.
