What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
I am currently recovering from more than a year of depression. I started recovering in the past two months after being emotionally paralyzed and unable to do anything except sleep and wish my life away. When I noticed the Soul Art Day advert, it stimulated my imagination and gave me a goal to reach that was not possible a few months ago, because I was not interested in anything, much less my art.
How would you describe your creative process?
I am relieved to at last feel better and more positive. I had cataract surgery a year ago, and since then, my eyes have been a major hurdle in my life as I could not see properly. I have since had laser treatment that improved my sight substantially. As an artist, my eyes and hands are most valuable to me, and I immediately traced my hands as a starting point and basis for my artwork. I placed my eye at the top of the painting, indicating my sight as my most important sense and as a quiet witness or observer of all that is important in my life.
I feel like I received a second chance to live my life fully, to love and enjoy my partner, family, and friends more. To do everything I dream of and can imagine! Thus, I included elements of travel, home, and art in my painting.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
Anything you visualize or dream of, you can make your reality.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
This is an amazing opportunity for anyone – artist or not – to gain some important insights about yourself and your soul’s desires. It is a wonderful experience and a way of creating art in a unique and inspirational manner.
