What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
It’s a form of meditation and conversation with Spirit for me. I am in a beautiful time with a lot of new opening up, and used this opportunity as a spiritual conversation for guidance and clarity, and to help me build a strong foundation supporting me in expanding beautifully into my next and new.
How would you describe your creative process?
Like the strong deep current beneath the surface of everyday life. It’s simple, knows where it’s going, and on the move. It may not look like I’m doing much when I’m creative…the outer expression is more like a result of tuning into the flow, and the tuning in and then moving with my inner guidance is my process. Putting pen, pencil, paint to a surface is where the portal for me…inspiration pours through when I put myself in place and tune in.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
My piece is in process. What I’ve received so far is about alignment – taking my time (no rushing or urgency or skipping steps) to align myself and the new life and energy that’s coming in and that I’m moving into. My piece looks like a portal, and is beautiful and inviting. Enjoy my journey is another message. Again, no rush, take my time. The energy is big, and my alignment includes gradually expanding and increasing my ability to be in and a part of this new energy.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
This was profound. I found myself reviewing last year’s piece and seeing how it was lighting the way for my upcoming year. That awareness deepened my trust and desire to see what this year is bringing. I was frequently moved to tender tears with the honesty, simplicity, and beautiful energy of my creative soul. Also: trusting how simple the “result” might be, and paying attention…my process included an inner guided healing, for example. My small letter-sized sketches moved and revealed so much before I even got to the body mapping. Relaxing, awareness, and trusting are key.
