What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
I have been doing the SoulArt journeys since 2012 and wouldn’t miss it. I love the energy of artists gathering (even though virtually) to create and get re-inspired annually.
How would you describe your creative process?
Due to 30+ years of theatre design and scenic art, I tend to work very quickly and intuitively which is one of the aspects of SoulArt that I gravitate towards. This is not about “art” as much as a beautiful way to express my inner workings in the moment. Once I have done my body tracing, I “see” what is there asking to be brought forward and just do it. I don’t really know how else to describe my process.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
One of the key insights this piece gave me was “there are messages in the imperfections” Many times I push past the initial vision and refine what I started with and that frequently glosses over some of the subtle messages. This piece asked me to stop and appreciate exactly what was there in its raw form.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
If you allow yourself to follow your intuition and you open to the possibilities, you will always receive valuable insights. Our body hold so much wisdom.
