What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
I look forward to Soul Art Day since I first joined in 2019. The joy of creating with thousands of people across the globe and witnessing the infinite ways each one expresses their creativity are incredibly uplifting.
How would you describe your creative process?
I’ve received clues of what the landing shape would be in the days leading to Soul Art Day. I wanted to add the crochet edge around my circle and started ealier as it is a process that requires a bit more time.
On the day it felt like a steady humdrum- completing the edge, simplifying my intention to its essence and laying out the structure with my hands, spine, feet, belly, tongue, throat, perineum and top of my head. I was surprised by the tip of my nose and some hardened bits on my foot decided to join in before the end of the day.
The following day was an immersive experience of adding colours and pauses between them drying out. I’ve reached a point when doubt and judgement came for tea, so I honoured it by placing a vase with roses at the centre. Playfulness and exhuberance followed by another small circle canvas joining in.
I experienced harmony and intoxication of adding colours, lines, splatters, sewing, cutting out the heart shapes from dried rose petals and glueing them as a headpiece onto my pregnant woman. When it was complete I experienced silence- silence filled with fecundity, with possibilities and reverence for what was leaving. The culmination of my experience was witnessing the splendin magic of the flourescent paint revealing a whole new art piece under the black light.
The name of my creation is “Mother of Fecundity- intoxicated by the magic of Creation”
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
“Listen for the Truth in Silence.”
For me it meant to allow whatever thoughts were swirling in my mind to have their say and then dissolve. The insight came after seeing the thoughts of “No insights yet, why no insights yet” and bursting with laughter.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
It has been an absolute joy and delight to meet with “Mother of Fecundity” and experience the intoxication by the magic of creation with everyone who joined us for 2025 Soul Art Day.
I’m sharing a photo collage with different stages of my process as creative nod to the word “Honeycomb” which showed up for Soul Art Day.
