What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
I’ve been working on healing and was told to get back into art. The event popped up on my FB feed so I checked it out.
How would you describe your creative process?
I completed the worksheets during the 1st session. I liked that it went quick. I didn’t have too much time to think about it. I put I desire to find my voice. I desire to be able to stay grounded. I desire to feel. To sum it up – I desire to Stand in SELF. I made that my intention. During the body wrapping – I thought about my overactive mind, how I’ve closed my heart off to many things, my fatty liver, gut issues, knee and foot problems. My energy exercises were very chaotic with no balance. Symbols and words – Feminism-Freedom, Art-Expression, Emotional Healing-Harmony
First, I traced my entire body onto white paper. I cut it out and traced it onto canvas. I decided to crop the legs so that I wouldn’t have to use a 4th canvas (my ceiling isn’t high enough for 4). This turned out to be the image that I sketched for the Feminism/Freedom Symbol Activity. At first, I was going to just keep her black and have the chakra colors as the background but then I realized she needed to balance the feminine and masculine energies and then she was born.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
If I Stand in SELF and Express my truth that is True Freedom and will lead to Harmony.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
It’s all about creating balance (not focusing more on the masculine by overworking) and standing in SELF (being honest and open to your true self). Not giving your freedom and harmony away trying to please others.
