What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
Lately I’ve been feeling as though I am beginning a spiritual and creative awakening of sorts. With Soul Art Day, I hoped to learn how to look deeper into myself to bring out more of my creativity.
How would you describe your creative process?
Currently, my home is a bit of a creative wonderland (Or a bit of a hot mess, depending on how you look at it!) with art supplies and in-progress projects all over the house. I love to look around, then sit down at whichever project or medium attracts me. Maybe today I will be building a miniature house, or doing some needlepoint, or drawing. Or perhaps I’ll get out my resin casting materials or do some painting. I love having lots of creative options! Once I make my choice, I sit down and close my eyes, then take a few deep breaths to get centered and focused. Then I dive in!
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
My life is being ruled by fear and pain, and in order to thrive I need to continue working on my spiritual and artistic growth. I believe this means I need to continue to dive deeper into Buddhism, which I hope will help me let go of my fear and anxiety; and learn to better get in touch with my creative side with Soul Art and Neurographica. While I will always love my needlepoint, I believe I need to also explore the freedom that drawing and painting allow me.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
This has been a wonderful way to look deeply in a supportive, kind, and safe environment.
