What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
I’ve be part of it the last several years and I enjoy the process. I like getting Divine downloads while doing the soul work. I enjoy the community of heart centered creatives.
How would you describe your creative process?
The morning of the event I listened to a third eye guided meditation and journaled after spending time in prayer and gratitude. I practiced qigong and cleared my creativity space with pało santo. Underneath my collage art I wrote out the journaling prompt responses and drew the symbols that corresponded to each. I also wrote out my intention for the event in regard to what I wanted to experience in my life moving forward. I traced my hands and drew/traced other areas of my body for the body mapping portion of the process. The areas I wanted to heal and also show appreciation for.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
I got a major Divine download that kinda freaked me out a little bit because it was so big and unexpected. I had prepared my body, mind and spirit to receive insight and I released a lot of tears earlier in the morning. Then after we participated in the first session of the day I had more tears flowing. The information I received was around the mission I’ve been on to create a global movement around self love using art and holistic practices. The message I received was around a specific non profit fundraising idea and teaching points around the same theme.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
Even though I love to create collage art I was surprised I was intuitively lead to create a collage during the event. The download I received is what called me to that particular medium for the day. I actually thought I’d use watercolor to create however after going through the Soul Art process it totally took me in a different direction. I was surprised by both the download I received and the medium in which I was lead to use. I entitled my artwork Shoes Of Peace.
