What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?

my inspiration for this year’s soul art day was “connect it to something bigger”, and make outer connections. The way to this was, by signing up to be one of the featured soul art guides on the int. soul art day page hosting an in-person-real-life workshop on international soul art day in my home in my living room and guiding a creative journey online in my Zoom room. Earlier this year (2022), I have completed the full soul art certification, so that is done. Now I want to take it next level. Being featured on the soul art day page and hosting two types of workshops on soul art day was the way of doing several concrete actions to set it in motion. Doing-guiding-hosting these workshops and what comes out of that is my soul art piece of this year.

How would you describe your creative process?

On one hand tough, meeting resistance, not always knowing and fear of it is not good enough. On the other hand, truly stepping into something new and opening up a new door of a new energetic road to travel

What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?

I am a soul art guide that guides from the unknown. For my in-person workshop in my living room the morning before I felt an inspiration of creating together on one piece of canvas, which was a different way than my original plan. That was cut it up into pieces, each its own piece and then create. I did not follow my impulse and stayed stuck with my original plan. At the end of the journey, it all went well but it lacked that spark of that feeling of “yes yes yes”, I was exhausted. Later I realized that was because I was glued to my original plan and did not follow my impulse. That was what I truly wanted to do. There is the joy and there is the energy and there is the connection. And then things may not always go perfect, that is the way when I feel sparkled and inspired, the people joining will do too.

For the online workshop, on the technical side, it did not go all perfect, it was my first time guiding a big(ger) group online, the break-out rooms were a mess, and there were some other issues that I thought “oh yes that was not a good idea to do like this”. Yet, despite all that, there was a moment of sharing in the two-hour online workshop that was truly magical wherein there was a deep connection between us and our insights were amplifying each other. I realized “this would not have happened if I had not taken this step and just plunged into it”. It holds so much potential for something that I really want to do, take a new direction. And then when I do what I really want to do, and it does not go flawless, I am ok with it, as long as I do it, for all the improvement, there is a next time, it is my learning or discovering by experiencing it.

So the main insights are “acting on my impulses is the road to travel”, “don’t think it over just do it, if I want to do it” and even though it was not always easy and there were some resistance and struggle in the end, it worked and a lot of new has opened up

What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?

what was different this year from all the earlier editions was that I found my way of joining of combining things while doing it in a different way, and at the same time being aligned with the container of int. soul art day. Making the hosting and guiding the workshop “the soul art piece itself”, including my own bits and pieces created in those two workshops. And that is an important insight for me to move forward. The soul art journey how I have done it so far fundamentally does not change, it’s just adding a new layer to it.

And a really important thing for me is, that I am. process artist, I work in layers, one step at a time, my piece is far from done, it is more it has ignited something, set something in motion, found the way back to myself and from there opened up a new path to travel.
