What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
I love Art. It is my happy place. Soul Art sounded like a wonderful opportunity to connect with other creative souls on a spiritual level.
How would you describe your creative process?
Every artwork is an expression of my soul and a piece of my heart. I believe that art is a form of therapy and I paint with the hope and belief that art can help me heal myself and others.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
I set the intention to allow the art to help me open my heart to receive love. I realised that the explosion of colours and textures was my heart oozing with green, orange, pink, glitter, silver and gold. I also stuck cut glass on the canvas which represented broken pieces of my heart. This showed me that I am healing and hurting at the same time and that is ok because the human condition is to be perfectly imperfect. I love and accept myself exactly as I am.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
The most important thing for me was to let go of the idea of perfection and control. Before I start my artwork, I always have an image ready as a guide. This time I allowed myself to just follow my intuition and to go with the flow. This was a first for me and quite unnerving and liberating. It was interesting to just watch and see what would unfold. I think that maybe that is how we are meant to deal with life. Let go of trying to control it, just surrender and trust your intuition and the Universe.
